John's Story
Life
Not much to report...after high school, went to the University of Dallas for a few years (although spent junior year at University of Missouri - Columbia (Mizzou!). Also spent a semester studying in Rome, and got to travel all over Europe (really whetted that appetite--more on that later). After school, started working at Fidelity Investments in Dallas and quickly moved from an operations role to the training group. Loved it then, and still love it. Transfered from Dallas to Cincinnati when Fidelity opened an operations site there. Got to train a great BIG group of people and stayed there a few years. focused on SAP (a large software system) training, and my first client was Procter & Gamble. That was great!--I got to do a lot of travel back and forth to Germany and Belgium. After a year of the back and forth travel, finally got the OK to move to Brussels and be an official expatriate. Stayed in Brussels for a year (primarily working with Procter & Gamble, before moving to London for another year. For that year, I switched clients and started working with Coca-Cola (in London and Brussels). Too late to make a long story short, but now I'm back in the States working as a REAL employee (not with the consulting company anymore) for Coca-Cola, and focusing on SAP training for the HR community.
