John's Story
Life
I could write about my time in a
Columbian prison for cocaine
smuggling, and my brief stint as a
love slave for a Saudi Prince, or that
little movie I wrote for HBO staring
Ben and Matt, but IÂm certain that
would probably bore most people. In
case you donÂt remember me, in
1972, this bright-eyed Yank from
Cleveland, Ohio, made his way North
to the lovely urb of Guelph. I lived
there for about ten years on Dakota
Drive Â
but they were THE years that
I think molded me into the person
that I am today. By the time I left JFR
CVI (Grade 12, not Grade 13, without
the graduation pomp and
circumstances and without my dear
friends), my family returned to the
states where I went to University at
probably the most republic...Expand for more
an, preppy
places on the planet. Totally not me,
actually, but something that I thought
I was, I guess. I was fortunate
enough to find strong friends there,
and most importantly, find myself. I
eventually wound up in Chicago
working for Hyatt Hotels and Resorts
where I have been for pretty much all
of my career  with exception of a
brief stint at Motorola. IÂve traveled
the world over, and over, and over
again, mostly for business but
always for pleasure. If weÂve
crossed paths, IÂm thankful Â

please write! I am grateful for the
friends that have kept in touch ... and
I promise, this year I'll try even better,
and I'll be in touch as soon as I get
back from Betty Ford!
