John R.'s Story

Life After I left Rock Bridge I went into college for a degree in biochemistry. I went to Mizzou, my first year and a half, Central Missouri State University my second year, where my dad told me that if I went there I could take flying lessons. I did, and really didn't like the school, so the next year I went to University of Illinois back in my home city of Chicago. gs you do for love when you're young...Ahhh... After some very rebellious times in Columbia, I went to St. Louis and ended up as a Molecular Biologist/Genetic Engineer at Washington University School of Medicine in the department of Hematology/Oncology with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. It was part of a dream come true for me and I was settling into my professional career there. It was a great place to be and a great time for studying genetic engineering. (Will write more later...).
