John's Story
My life since High school has always somehow rotated around my 1961 Chevrolet Impala. I have owned it since February 15, 1969.I won the 12 th Annual National Rod and Custom Show at McCormick Place in 1973 and have been hooked on that winning feeling since.I have been participating in Local Car Shows and Cruise Nights regularly for over 40 years. r and myself on the cover the week of 911. The latest photographs that fellow classmate and good friend John Hegg took, landed my car on the cover of the January, 2009 issue of Popular Hot Rodding Magazine. Yes, I'm proud and pardon my bragging. My next goal is to get the car in a Movie or on a Television Commercial. It's a great hobby, plus it keeps me out of the Taverns. After 40 years of Bowling and Pool Leagues I have finally slowed down. I'm in Oak Park and easy to find.
