John's Story
Life
Shortly after graduation, I joined Nationwide Insurance. I married Beverly, a girl from Forrest Hill High, and we had three children. Beverly died in 1977 of cancer, and I remarried the next year to Susan. This lasted eighteen years, when Susan wanted to go a different direction in her life. In 1994 I retired from Nationwide and moved to Lake Placid, FL to live on Lake Istokpoga-I had fished this lake for ten years and loved the area. After two years of being alone, I decided I am a person who needs a companion. So I set out to find a new bride. Workplace
I prepared for teaching physical education, and coaching football and baseball at the HS level. This I did for the first eight years after graduation from UF. I moved on into the manufacturing/sales industry, traveling around the US marketing after market auto parts. After three years, I moved on into the Insurance Industry-Nationwide Insurance, and was an independent agent for twenty years. I retired in 1995. After getting married in December 1996, and immediately entered the sign making business with my new wife, which I currently slave at!
