I have two granddaughters, 2 1/2 and 5. Adam is going back to college in Santa Cruz, CA. He is the musical descendant and is an excellent flautist. Amy is married and teaches 6th grade.

Social Work from LSU in 1975. The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality hired me to work with local governments. Went back to LSU and got a MS in Environmental Sciences in 1999. Retired as Naval Reserve Commander in July 2003 with 36 years.
I refereed soccer and football, play the clarinet and tenor sax in two community bands. Played oboe and english horn in the New Orleans Civic Symphony for a year. Oboe has been both a challenge and fun.
Military
After active duty I joined the reserve, made Senior Chief Sonar Technician in 1980 and was comissioned as an Ensign in the Naval Reserve in 1984. I will retire as a Commander in July 2003 having earned qualifications as Craftmaster, Combat Craft Officer and SWO.
