John's Story
(Updated) Life
After growing up in Las Vegas, Nevads, I graduated from Bonanza High School in 1984, I attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and graduated in 1988. I lived at mutliple military bases in my short 8.5 years in the Army unitl Dec 96 when I got out. We moved back to my then wife's home town Warner Robins, GA. I have been there ever since.
I started working as a Mechanical Engineer for a military contractor. I worked on the faculty of the Georgia Intitute of Technology for six years, during which time I earned my Masters in Software Engineering. I am now working as a Senior Engineer with a small military contractor in Warner Robins, Georgia.
I have two daughters from my first marriage. They are now 16 and 17, and junior and senior in High School. Boy do I feel old.

e to restore old cars. I have completed 2, a 71 VW Bug, and a 73 Mach 1 Mustang, and I am working on a 67 Cougar XR7.
Military
I was commissioned out of West Point as a Second Lieutenant on My 25, 1988. I was assigned aviation and attended the Aviation Basic Course at Fort Rucker, Alabama. I graduated from flight school flying the AH-1 Cobra and assigned to the 101st Airborne Division Fort Campbell, Kentucky. I was a platoon leader in Desert Sheild/Desert Storm. I was assigned to command the lead element that secured the forward operating base for the entire 101st Division. I received two Air Medals and Bronze Star. I then attended the Army Command Course and commanded an AH-64 Apache Troop (Company) command in the 6th Squadron/6th U.S. Cavalry. After that I worked multiple staffs positions, a multi-national special operations assignment, and an aide liaison to a general. After all of that, the Army was "un-fun" so I resigned my commission.
