John's Story
Life
Since high school, I went to college and grad school, got married, had two kids, worked for seven years as a youth pastor, started my own software company, did global marketing for a Fortune 50 company, and started my own marketing consulting company (to cut back on hours and be with my family).
I love to travel, collect fine wines, entertain, be with people, and do anything that involved sun and water.
I'm now living in Colorado, my wife Michelle's orginal home. But I plan to move in the next few years, either to Napa or Maui. My utlimate dream is to own a wineray in Tuscany. I'm on the board of a non-profit organization, just outside of Rome; and I go over about 3 or 4 times a year to see if I can make it happen.
I have three kids. My princess is 21 and my best buddy is 19. My daughter, Candice, is going to be a senior at Parson's School of Design in NYC. We are so proud of her for making it to the country's top school for fashion design. GO, CANDICE! My son Rocky is a junior at USC and loves being in souther...Expand for more
n california and on campus. He is the smartest, most good natured kid I know. FIGHT ON, ROCKY! Four years ago, we opened out home to a third child, she was 18 at the time and didn't have a place to stay. I love that she now calls me dad. Stephanie is 22, graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC and has produced her first album. I'm confident you will see her on TV someday when she receives her music awards.
After having my own business for eight years, and watching my kids go off to college, I can honestly say that I have no regrets. Most people just say, I wish I would have spent more time with my family. I just did it.
I still love being involved in ministry stuff. I lead a group to help executives and entrepreneurs find deeper meaning in life here in Colorado, and I've helped start a chapter of to do the same in Rome. I'm also working closely with a friend who drove his motorcycle off of a 75 foot cliff. I spend a ton of time with him and his family, helping with recovery in any way I can. I love life....
