John's Story
Briefly, enlisted in the Marines in '72, worked various jobs after I got out, nothing that I enjoyed. Got married in '78. Had two kids, Derrick, now 29 and Monique, now 27. Divorced in '82. Became a cop for the City of Boston. Left in '86 due to injury I suffered on the job. Became a truck driver and traveled the country for about 10 yrs before I remarried. I still drive but I'm doing a regional gig now. Met my wife{Dee} in '01 and got married in '04 { it was a quick wedding- a drive thru in Vegas!} She's the best thing to happen to me. In addition to gaining a wife, I gained another daughter, Joanie,47 and son, Gerard, 45.
Currently- We live in Jersey on the Shore. Derrick and Monique still live in RI...Expand for more
. Joanie lives the next town over from us and Gerrard is a P.A. in Vegas. Monique had my granson Dylan in '03. The apple definately does not fall far from the tree! He's 6 already and going to school. My grandaughter Brittani {Joanies} is going to be a senior next year @ NYU. She'll be taking a semester in Cairo in Sept. My niece Lise and her husband Dave have 2 kids, Isabella 3 and Michael 2. The kids are more like grankids than niece and nephew. For some reason I do'nt have traditonal names, Dylan calls me Budda and Isabella and Mike call me uncle WooHoo.
Dee and I just got back from a month long road trip out west and down South. Vegas, Yellowstone, Tombstone and New Orleans were some of the stops.
