John's Story

Life Wow, who's brilliant idea was it to build a website for idiots like me to post useless information and old pictures about, ME. DUMB! hehe O-well, here goes: Life has been good. I had a great childhood (parents were strict as hell - could have done without that) , partied it up in high school, got into lots of trouble, went out into the real world, got a "real job", got married and started a family, worked, worked and worked, and here I am now (almost 40) typig a profile on Classmates. I have to say though, given all I've been through in my life, I 've turned out pretty good. I have a lot to be thankful for and am truly blessed. I have a beautiful and loving wife, a great kid, a great career, a nice home, lots of friends, etc etc etc. So, have fun going through all my stuff here on this site, shoot me an email, join my goups and networks and, have some fun. I got over 2000 pictures (probably can't upload them all but...) and will share them all if I can. When Brandon moves out later this year, Teresa and I plan on building a new log home up north. But, we'll keep in touch with everyone and I'll do my best to keep the info flowing here. School Simley was a blast. I didn't do so well (grade-wise) in the classroom but, did what I needed to do to pass. I pretty much lived a double life in school. I played hockey (and hung out with the jocks) in the winter and partied it up in the summer (as I'm sure you all can attest) with what my parents labled, the "wrong crowd". I had a LOT of different girlfriends during schoo...Expand for more
l but, remained friends most of them. Check out all the pix...you'll get a kick out of it. hehe This is all for now, I'll share some more "stories" later, in the Friends & Family group. College Not much to say about Inver Hills...I went to school full-time and worked full-time. I didn't have time for anything fun. :-( O-well...I didn't like it there. The classes sucked and the content was all old-school business. I got into trouble a lot with teachers because I couldn't shut the hell up in class. I was always questioning their teaching methods and driving them nutz. :-) hehe At any rate, I got through it and moved on. I also did a short stint at Dakota County Technical College for some advanced (more specialized) business courses which benefited me greatly. This place rocked! Real business owners who were very successful locally and told it like it is! Well worth the money! Workplace Hmmmm, career path huh? Well lets see, I started out as a paperboy (in grade school), worked at KFC, BK, Target and Carbones in HS, was a bil collector in college, worked in accounting and finance in the early 90's, got into IT in the mid 90's and have been in technology ever since. I just resigned my position at InCompassIT as their Senior IT Consultant and have started my own company (MNIT Consulting, LLC.) The website will be completed shortly so, stay tuned... and I am also in the process of acquiring 2 existing companies so, I'll be busy as hell this year but will still find time to hang out, chat, travel and simply have some fun.
