I now live in DeLand and Ormond Beach, Florida 6 months of the year and Chiang Mai, Thailand the other 6 months, my wife is Thai and we have a house there. Life is good now, except for the annual 24 hours in the air required to move between our lives in America and Asia.
But there has been some real sadness too, some of you who may read this knew my brother Michael J. Schorr at Our Saviour Lutheran HS. After HS Michael went to Duchess Community College but left to join the Army, where he was selected to study Chinese at the Defense Language Institute in Presidio Monterrey. He spent a year in Viet Nam came home to take a job at UPS. But was killed in a car accident on I-95 in Bridgeport, Conn. Memorial Day weekend 1982. Michael never married and had no children. He was the favorite uncle and is still missed by all his nieces!
