John's Story
Lets see where do I start? I was born in Quantico Va. Went to school in Virginia, Vermont & South Carolina before moving to New Hampshire in 1983. Went into the Air Force after high school. After basic training in Texas, went to tech school in Illinois for Fuels Distribution Specialist (POL). Then I was sent to my first base in Turkey where I made a lot of friends and got to swim in the Mediterranean Ocean and see biblical ruins. Then I went back to the US by way of New Jersey. Had fun going to concerts in Philly, gambling in Atlantic City and just parting hard until I got married the first time. Had my first child in 1990 just in time for the first Gulf War at which time there was no personal time. 12 hour days 6-7 days a week. After that war decided to go over seas again, yeah Turkey. But this time would be with a family, well sort of. My soon to be ex-wife didn't like it one bit. Along with my long work schedule and her infidelities it was just a matter of time before she was sent packing. I did try to make it work but she didn't want anyth...Expand for more
ing to do with that. So at the age of 23 I became a single father stationed in a far, far, away land. My daughter and I spent a total of 3 1/2 years there (The ex- 8 months). After filing for divorce and custody came back to the states, this time in upstate New York and went to court where I was awarded full custody. Spent only 1 1/2 years there before the base closed and I went into the Vermont Air Guard (Where I am today). Met my 2nd (Last) wife before leaving NY and now have three more daughters. Thats right 4 girls. Its a good thing I have a lot of patience. My little ladies go from 17, 7, 5 & 7 months. The oldest is off to college next fall and the five year old can't wait (She wants the big room). Oh the places I have been like Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Qatar, Ireland, Germany, England, Spain, Luxembourg, France, Italy, Greece, Curacao, the Netherlands and last but not least the Bahamas.
