My Spouse
I'm married to Amanda Essenmacher, originally from Walled Lake. We had 5 classes together at MSU, and got married in East Lansing in the summer of 2001, just before we moved back up north. Now she teaches at Mio High School.

My Pets
2 cats named Trammell and Whitaker. (named after two of the greatest Detroit Tigers of all time!) Unfortunately, we'd picked the names before we got them ...Expand for more
(when we'd heard they were male). Now, we have a couple of female cats named after baseball players. Whatever. Plus, we just got a black lab. Continuing the trend, we named HER Kaline (after Al Kaline, another Tiger!)
My Job
Got my MA in history from MSU in December 2000. Teaching history at Kirtland Community College in Roscommon. It's a blast - the students are much more devoted and talented than many that I encountered as a teaching assistant at MSU!
