John's Story
Life
I attended St Joseph's College in Standish, Maine after High School. There I recieved my Bachelor's of Arts in Mathematics.
The following fall, I joined the Army. After Basic Training, I spent two years in Monterey, CA learning arabic. I met my wife Cindy there. We were married in October 1995, and I left Monterey November 1995 to attend Advanced Individual Training at San Angelo, TX. My wife joined me there in January 1996, and we left May 1996 for Augusta, GA. Our first child, John William Thrippleton, III (Will) was born September 1996.
We left Georgia for Germany January 1998. While in Germany I was deployed to the Balkans for much of my time there. Still, our second child, Elizabeth Mae (Lizzie), was born September 199...Expand for more
8. We left Germany, and I left the Army (mostly) April 2001.
After leaving the army, I took a job supporting the software on the system my unit in Germany used. The company was based in New Jersy, and we stayed there for 4 and a half years. While there we had two more children. Evelyn Lucile (Lucy) in October 2001, and Abigail Marie (Abby) August 2004.
We recently (December 2005) moved back to Germany where I am directly supporting my old unit in Germany.
College
My first roomate was Paul O'Brien. We were definitely the living example of the odd couple. He was neat and tidy, my stuff was in a mound. It's a wonder he survived that first semmester!
Workplace
I've been working for L-3 Communications for nearly five years now.
