John's Story

Life After high school I joined the Navy. I went to boot in Illinois and then was attached to the USS Kittyhawk stationed in Philly. Traveled to Virgina and then to St.Thomas, Argentina, And Chile. I was back in San Diego for a while and was soon out of the Navy. I got married to my loving wife, Sarah, and not long after that had our first born, Nicole. After living here for a few more years we packed up the family and moved to Minnesota. We had a friend that moved there and conviced us to move. It was a small town of only 18,000 and our weeknds consisted of driving 20 minutes to go to Taco Bell, this was the nearest one. Afterwords we would go shopping in the little town. We had another child while living here, her name is Kyra. She is our only child born out of California. She is Minnesotan. She has lived in California fo rmost of her life, but if you ask here she will tell you that she is Minnesotan. I worked at a few factories until landing a job at an electrical wholesale house working in the warehouse. Before long I had moved my way up to the front office as an inside sales person as well as many other duties that I had to acomplish. An opportunity came up that presented a chance to move back to San Diego and work for the same company as a lighting estimator. So we came back. We had our third and final child...Expand for more
, Hunter. A bigger opportunity came up and I went to a Lighting Rep to be their lighting estimator. Some of my projects included Petco Park, Sea World, and many more. I am currently working for a company called ISEC as a project manager. I no longer quote projects but I run them. I make sure that they get done and under budget. It can be trying at times but is rather rewarding when the project is finished. I do a lot of school work, kinda my niche. A current project of mine is the addition at Plaza Bonita. I am currently living in Santee and I find myself working a lot. My family means the world to me and I find them to be one of my greatest accomplishments. Our children are very bright and seen to be excelling. My oldest daughter is striving to go to Stanford. Well that is a brief synaposis of what has been going in my life. It has been a real roller coaster ride. I hope that your lives have been going well and I hope to hear from you all when you get the chance. Update - On July 13, 2007 my wife Sarah and I celebrated our 15th year wedding anniversary. We both feel very lucky to have found one another and to have made this far when most people that get married as young as we were just don't last. I look forward to many more years together with my Sarah. She means the world to me and I love her with all of my heart.
