John's Story
I had signed up to join the Navy prior to the end of high school.
I served from November of 1985 until 1991.
During my enlistment I specialized in Electrical/Electronics for Gas Turbine power plants on Spruance class Destroyers and Ticonderoga class Cruisers.
My travels with the Navy allowed me to see much of the US but many overseas locations including. Puerto Rico, Cuba, Japan, Korea, Singapore,...Expand for more
Philippines, Australia, Hong Kong, Kenya, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai.
I served in the 1st Gulf War and my ship actively participated in combat activities.
After leaving the military, I met my wife and have been married for 27 years ( Currently Divorcing) I have 4 children which include a set of twins.
I have worked in the electrical field since 1993 where I deal mainly with fire alarm systems.
