John's Story
Life
Attended Mt. Pleasant HS and graduated from Sanford in 1987. Graduated from Eckerd College (1992) in St. Petersburg, FL riding partially on a baseball scholarship. Worked for MBNA in Newark, DE from 03/92 to 07/93 and then moved back to St. Petersburg. Been in computer sales ever since and currently work for Insight (Insight.com) for the last 12-years (95-07). Married lovely Rachel in 1997 and luckily have brought into the world two beautiful boys and one gorgeous girl!. Who'd have thunk it? Own a house, playing daddy, 1/2-mile from the Gulf of Mexico, life ain't bad down here. Still visit DE once a year to see my father and sister. Love to hear from friends in my previous life That's what it seems like now doesn't it? :-P
College
One of 3-freshman to make Eckerd College varsity baseball.
Left-handed pitcher who threw his arm out in Fall of 1987 and suffered through the spring season.
Mother died 06/88 after freshman year. Decided to stay close ...Expand for more
to home that fall and attended West Chester University in PA.
Came back to Eckerd in FL (01/89) and realized baseball is not what I wanted to persue.
Focused on academics and making up for lost time with non-baseball people until graduation.
Graduated with a major in business and a minor in marketing (1992)
Still consider college and friends I made very important to me and my success as an individual.
Excellent school to potentially send your children to.
