John Zaranka:

CLASS OF 1973
Elizabeth, NJ

John's Story

John is from Plainfield, New Jersey. John's schools include Immaculate Conception School. John later attended Rutgers University–Newark (Uhh nothing really dropped out during 2nd year family problems). Was a DJ for one summer. The real kind, playing records on the radio not scratching tnem. It was the only public station in NJ. Basically that meant we had sponsors instead. We got by on that and donations from listenerd like you. Not really that was an allusion to PBS. I don't have much to do with YouTube but I believe a list of some of my favorite music. I'm thinking of making a channel. Actually a few, my faves from the 60s, 70s and 80s. More about John:"The problem with this is it doesn't allow for, say how much you know about something. Take languages for instance. I have been speaking Spanish for over 40 years. I UNDERSTAND Spanish, but I don't know Spanish. There is a difference. I understand ...Expand for more
Spanish which to me means I have to still translate the words in my head before I can speak. To me, knowing any language means you don't have to do that. You hear it and speak it without having to think about it. So even after 40 years, I don't know the language. As for the others I know a little Chinese as I was engaged to someone IN China. A verrrrrry long distance relationship. I attended Thomas Jefferson H.S. in Elizabeth, NJ (not the one listed) it was the last public all boys school (don't know if that was in the state or the country.) In fact I was in the last graduating class. I had to graduate three times in five years. I went to a Caltholic school for eight years and then I had to attend 9th grade (public schools had grammar, middle and high schools)) for one year and then I graduated from Thomas Jefferson High.". Will probably add more. I'm a bit verbose if you hadn't noticed.
