Johnathon's Story
School
I started school in 5 yr old kindergarden in Ottawa & our family moved away to Richmond (at that time it was very far from Ottawa, now it is concidered part of Ottawa's outlying bedroom communities). We moved to Richmond for the start of the grade 5 school year. In Richmond I attended ALL 3 schools from grade 5 thru to grade 13. and by grade 12 I still had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. In the second half of my grade 13 year I went to some of the high schools career week fairs they had & heard about a great new music school opening in Ottawa & with my ever growing love for music I decided to give it a go & the following school year I was enrolled at "Trebas Institute of Recording Arts & Sciences"
College
I attended "Trebas" (for short) to attain a carrier in
Record/Artist Production & Studio Engineering. As to this
point in time I have NOT used this degree on a profesional basis as I'm certain most of the others attending when I went DIDN'T either. But it was extremely educational & I use e...Expand for more
lements of my training today.
While there I met lots of interesting people including some of my musical idols of the time & I really began to develop a love for creation of music over powering my love of listening to
music which I had since I was about 5 years old.
I know play most instruments, self taught for the majority, as a result of my years at Trebas & I presently sing to crowds of people almost nightly at local venues. I also have my own home studio & have dabbled in hosting shows in the Ottawa/Carleton Region for aspiring singers. My last venue was in Navan in 2002/2003.
To date when I sing I tend now to venture out to lots of the local amateut nites & karaoke nites in the Ottawa Region. I've been told I'm a really good singer. I love to sing !!!
Workplace
While going to College at Trebas I entered the workforce & did a number of different jobs over the years. I tend to jump around every few years as my interests change. Nothing holds my interests usually career wise more than 4-5 years tops.
