Johnny's Story
Life
After Grant and the Navy, I went on to a successful music career until 1964 when I joined the corporate world (SouPac.RR) and eventually became a Governmental Relations Rep.(lobbyist) specializing in Ad Valorem taxes. Long stretch from musician to lobbyist. That very rewarding career moved me and my family 7 times and we spent most of it in Houston and Austin, Texas and Reno, Nevada. I retired in 1993 in Texas at age 54 and moved back to Nevada.
My wife divorced me in '99 after 34 yrs. My marriage was a great experience as far as I was concerned (evidently not so great ...Expand for more
as far as Carol was concerned), but I love being single again. I moved to Boise,ID in 2005 and hoped to get back into music. Since moving to Boise, I have spent most of my time re-modeling,re-decorating and landscaping my home.
I am actively working with young people in the Alateen Program in the Boise Schools on a volunteer basis. For those who are not familiar with this program, Anonymity suggests that I not elaborate. For those who do know, I need not say anything. but I am blessed by my opportunity to serve.
I enjoyed our 55th Reunion and am looking forward to our 60th.
