Johnny's Story
Life
Drafted into the army in 1976 by Judge Schumaker in the Montesano court house. my graduation would have been 1979 at Weatherwax. My mother gave me to the state of Washington in the 8th grade out of Miller Jr High age 13. I was sent to a farm in Quicene called Faith Farm. In the Army i finished school (GED). while in the service I was stationed in Germany. I flew out of Frankfurt in C130's to saigon to collect us millitary equipment from the airport then took it to Frankfurt. I then went to Ranger school in Badtolz Germany. then to the Big Red One in Boerblingen Germany. I did two tours to the Iron Curtain and i made sure to travel as often as i could. I returned to Aberdeen in 1980 recieving honorable discharge. I married Julie Daffler and had three kids, Julie was from Hoquiam. i worked for Evans Pro...Expand for more
ducts Plywood and Earl Whiting logging.She had some very dificult times in life and left to enjoy the world. I continued to raise our children on my own. I moved to Olympia and went to South Puget Sound College. Then to Centralia College Both taking Civil Engineering and drafting. I worked for Gifford Pinchot forest service as a land surveyor. i didnt like it and went back to the woods with Simpson Timber Co. I was hired on with the State of Washington as a State Park Ranger. I then went back to college at Skagit Valley Law Enforcement Academy Graduating at an 89%. As of April 1, 2006 I am the Asst. Area Manager for Sea-Tac Area State Parks. All my children are grown and gone and to date i have 5 grand kids. I own two new vehicles, a home that is two years old and can honestly say i am comfortable in life.
