Jolene's Story
Life
I grew up in Carson, California until I was in third grade, then I moved with my parents to Torrance, California. It was a great house that we lived in, one that my dad grew up in himself. During our stay there I took hula lesson from Kanani and Tae Kwon Do from the local dojo. I schooled at Caroldale from 4th until I culminated 8th grade. I continued to live in Torrance until I graduated highschool, California Academy of Mathematics and Science. In 2003 after graduating highschool I moved to Huntington Beach, California with my family. There, I attended The Art Institute of California - Orange County. I am majored in Media Art and Animation and graduated December of 2006. I started working at Shiny Entertainment for the first few months of the 2007 year until I moved on to Collective Studios. I moved out of my parents house in May 2007 to live with my boyfriend in Stanton, CA.
My favorite hobbies these days is video games. I still try to go fishing and dirtbike riding, but unfortunately due to work I usually don't have much time for those these days.
School
Gloria Sanchez and Mallory (who's last name I can no longer seem to remember) were my best friends from kindergarden until I moved to Torrance. I remember playing wi...Expand for more
th Mallory's rats, and sliding down Gloria's playset on the hot days of summer. Bust most of all I remember playing with them in the play grounds of Broad Ave. in Carson.
After 3rd grade I moved to torrance and attended Caroldale Elementry/Middle school.
During a YMCA summer camp one year (Whites Landing) I learned about the highschool California Academy of Mathematics and Science. After an interview I was accepted with three of my friends. There I joined the Robotics club where we built robots to play games thought up and sponsered by JPL.
College
Graduated with a BS in Media Art and Animation from the Art Institute of California - Orange County, December 2006.
Workplace
While at my stay at the Art Institute I decided to take the route of a Technical Artist. What I do is I take 3d models and apply 3d skeletons. I tell the models how to bend and twist and move. Then they are shipped to the animators to aniamte.
From February till the end of April of 2007 I worked at Shiny Entertainment as a Jr. Rigger. I took premade skeletons and applied them to our models. I worked on the game The Golden Compass that accompanied the movie.
After April I got the opprotunity to work at Collective Studios on the game Silent Hill V.
