Jolynn's Story
After High School I went to Nursing School and then on to College for a Bachelors Degree. After graduation from College, I moved to Phoenix, Arizona where I have lived for 25 years. It was here I met my Husband, got married and had children.
Along the way, I developed many talents, developed a really great mind and realized I have really good head for business and a lot of common sense. There are endless opportunities here. Now, there is never a dull moment in life and life is quite satisfying and gets more so with each passing year. We have made a little bitty farm in the middle of the city and have lots of animals. Life is good.
Out of all my High School teachers I was most impressed by Miss Brandert. She was the only teacher I knew who could make Shakespeare simple, funny and interesting. I was a loner who always got good grades in school and it was easy for me to get good grades. I rarely studied and I never studied hard (well, only at the last minute). I only cut school one time, knew I was caught and then called my Mom. Believe it or not, she actually called the school and covered for me. I don't even think she told my Dad.
My best boyfriend stayed in Salina and got ...Expand for more
married. He was a really nice guy but I guess I just wasn't ready to settle down back then.
I don't know people from High School will remember me. I mostly hung out with my brother who was my best friend and we probably all know that story.
After being a loner in High School and College I built a number of close relationships along the way after that and even more in my 30's and 40's.
I am getting ready for a career change to Legal Consulting as in Independent Contractor. These days I enjoy my own personal power (even though most do not realize it is there) and I can wield a lot of clout when I need to. I am constantly amazed at the difference one person can make in life. It really is the little things in life (combined with some follow through) that can make a big difference and it definitely pays to be involved and aware. Being involved makes the world a better place for everyone.
I now am working on being independently employed (think "no Manager" here) doing what I enjoy with people I enjoy doing it with and be financially successful while doing it.
One of my biggest surprise in life was that the hardships and challenges made me REALLY strong and stable.
