Jon's Story
Life
After HS I went to EIU for a year, then joined the Marine Corps. Look me up on facebook. Spent 5 1/2 years in various places, then spent 6 months out west. Had a hard time coming home. I finished my Associates degree at WVJC, then went back to EIU and received a B.A. in Studio Art (2-D). I've been at EIU for the past 10 years working as part of the Student Union Administration. I live in Mattoon with my wife, Aimee, son, Timothy, and chocolate lab, Kodi.

led as a sign and banner shop. 3 years later the Craft Depot merged with Copy Express, the on-campus quick copy shop, and we quit doing Craft workshops, turning more to our sign work and graphic design. In 2002 the University Print Center closed and we undertook the task of handling on-campus printing, as well as out-sourcing major printing (we still handle much of the design/set-up, as well as checking format for standardized University designs - logos, addresses, etc.). We employ around 15 students, and 4 permanent staff members. It's a job that constantly changes, and is challenging on many levels - which keeps me interested.
