After leaving the range in 1982, I worked for 27 years for the VA in Kansas City, MO, as a critical care RN. 12 hour nights the whole time. Night nurses are a little loony...but the ICU is a fairly controlled environment and I loved the hours of boredom and moments of sheer terror that I had all those years. I worked with an amazing group of nurses and I miss them more than anything. I had two children, a boy and a girl, with my ex, Plaintiff. My son is married and lives in the twin cities metro. He's a professional pilot and in the FAA's ATC program. My daughter is married and lives in Pretoria, South Africa. I met my current wife in 2006 and we've been married since 13OCT07. She has two adult children, both boys. Dawn works for an agency that works with mentally challenged adults, and is an EMT. She still hopes to eventually get her PhD in Neuropsych Trauma.
