So, in some ways, I haven't changed much. I still walk a lot. I never stopped watching people. Don't have much to say - often don't know how to say it when I do (unless I'm writing). I have a very dry humor which a lot of people don't get. Still like the same music. I basically have the same political beliefs (which, according to Churchill, means I have no brain). But I've changed, of course. Older, naturally - less hair, more pains and I need glasses to read. I'm not as smart as I used to be. I'm less social, if you can believe it. I've been clean and sober for thirty years, so I see things quite a bit differently. I'm not religious in the way most people think of it, but I do have faith. I've been a family man since the '70's, so I joined the consumer culture. I spent twenty years in the field of addictions - counseling at first, then designing and running programs, and finally doing training and consulting for others. I still work at a mental health center, but I do human resources now. In a lot of ways, it's not much different - I just call the people I work with employees, instead of clients. My wife's an ER nurse and runs a business on the side - consulting with attorneys on medical malpractice cases. I have two daughters in college. One's working on a master's in forensics and working in the medical examiner's office; the other's a junior in Pre-Med. I'm quite proud of all of them.
