Jon's Story
Life
Well, since High School, I messed around for a few years trying out different career paths. Finally I decided to go to school. I graduated from ITT Tech. with an AAS degree in Computer and Electronics Engineering and a GPA of 3.9! Not bad for the royal screw up I used to be. I now work for one of the leading semiconductor manufacturers as an Engineering Tech. Last Oct, for a training trip, my company sent me to the Yamanashi province of Japan. I spent the first night in Shinjuku, which is part of Tokyo. We arived at the hotel at 8:30PM, decided to go out on the town, and didn't make it back till 5AM! The next 9 days we spent in Kofu and a town I can't pronounce, or spell at the moment. I live in No. Va. close to DC and spend most of my time in the National Forests that surround me. I,ve taken up kayaking, wakeboarding, and hopefully will find a few wilderness competitions around here. Rec...Expand for more
ently, I went to a concert in Tennessee called Bonnaroo. This was a 4 day festival that took place in the middle of a farmers field, not unlike Woodstock, with music from 12 to 12. If you ever get the chance, I recommend it. The next stops for me are Pittsburgh for a concert, a drive from VA. to Salt Lake City with stops in Missouri, Colorado, and Moab for some biking and white water, and Austin for 3 weeks of training.
Update... I no longer live in Va. I got layed off from Micron and decided I needed a change of pace. I now live in Columbus and work as a Service Tech. in the mail processing industry. It sounds dumb I know, but the machines are actually very technical. I head up several projects with the technical support team and should be here for a very long time, as long as everybody doesn't go paperless on their bills. Life's still good, still doing the outdoors thing. Just not as often.
