Jon's Story
[As I get older I have to change this profile - this is now correct as of Jan 5, 2022.] Jon is from San Jose, California and now lives (and still works) in Lehi, UT with his lovely wife Nancy. He works for Sling TV as a Critical Problem Response senior engineer (sounds interesting :-). One son David came to visit 3 years ago and decided to move here right around the corner from us. He left the Army (Ranger, then various Special Operations units). He has a Masters from American University (he earned his BA and MA while serving in hot spots all over the world) and will have his MBA from the Marriott School at BYU this Spring. David’s wife has a Doctorate in Pharmacology, and they have given us three grandchildren - 9, 4 and 13 months. Jon’s other son Michael is a geek in the tradition of his father (although he is much smarter) working at Apple in Cupertino CA writing compilers. (He has lived with us for the last 18 months while Apple's buildings have been closed, and it looks like he will be with us for a few more months). Jon's schools include Crescenta Valley High School, USC and UCLA (biochemistry then switched to Math/Computer Science).

More about Jon: "Nothing special. I love my wife and family (I am so proud of each of them and what they have achieved), love my Church, was deeply involved with Scouting but I physically can't do that any more.. We moved to the East Coast about 30 years ago, living 16 years in NC and 8 in GA. We have lived for the last 6 years in incredibly gorgeous Lehi, UT, with and unobstructed view of Mt Timpanogos and the rest of the Wasatch Front visible through our rear windows. I can no longer run, backpack, mountaineer or downhill ski (far too many metal parts) but can cross country ski, snowshoe and cycle, so life will go on! In the summer of 2017 Jon auditioned to join the Millennial Choirs and Orchestras and was for some strange reason accepted (as a 2nd Tenor) and now performs in various venues in Utah, and occasionally elsewhere (e.g. Carnegie Hall). Church, youth involvement and the MCO Choir still dominate my free time.
