Jonathan's Story
Joined the Navy right after high school and worked in the Electronic Warfare rating for my entire career (20 years). I went to school in San Diego and San Francisco for my first year of service then served on USS Forrestal for 4 years. Transferred from Forrestal to USS Independence for 2 more years. I then went to Pensacola, Fl for shore duty and taught electronics at the Electronic Warfare school. After that I transferred to USS Koelsch, a Garcia Fast Frigate. erred to my final duty station, The Fleet Electronic Warfare Support Group (FEWSG). While there we merged with Fleet Corp Group Two to become the Fleet Tactical Readiness Group (FTRG). While there I was in charge of the Electronic Warfare detachment for UNITAS 30 where we circumnavigated South America, While in the Navy I was able to visit St Thomas, Guantanimo, Cuba, ST Croix, Antigua, Jamiaca and Granada. I also went to Panama, and Guatemala. Other countries I was able to visit were Spain, France, Italy, Greece, and Israel. While in South America I visited Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chili, Ecuador, and Colombia.
