Jonathan's Story
Jonathan currently lives in Virginia. Jonathan was married with Betsy Stark Barton for 25 years until her passing March 1, 2019 Jonathan's schools include Westfield High School. Jonathan later attended Kean University (Psychology). Completed his Master of Divinity from Drew in Madison, NJ in 1978 and was ordained by the Elizabeth Presbytery in 1981. Moved to Virginia in 1985 where he served as the Regional Director for Church World Service until the year 2000. Jonathan served as the head of the Virginia Council of Churches until his retirement in 2018. He has traveled in over 24 different countries and over half of the states in the lower 48.
Had one daughter Katie, 1985-2003 the sparkle of his eye who died in a car accident at age 17.
Currently resides in the Richmond, VA.
