Jonathan's Story
Life
After High School I went to Georgia College in Milledgeville. I ended up withdrawing from classes after a few years due to forming a band called Buckle. I found it was easier, and more accepted, to show up for band practice while buzzed than it was for classes. After a few more years of working and touring, I ended up moving back to Athens. I got into the printing industry, and also started doing Web Design and Graphic Design. Design rekindled my interest in being artistic, and I began to create my own personal style of Art.
I lived in Athens from 1996-2001. During that time I met my fiancee, Erin. After graduating from UGA, she landed a great job in Nashville, TN doing Landscape Architecture. We moved there shortly thereafter, and I began working in the computer industry at the Dell...Expand for more
corporate campus. Working for a faceless, heartless, corporate behemoth opened my eyes to the modern era of American industry. I decided I needed to complete my education, get a degree and work for myself to avoid this trap. I started back to school at Austin Peay State University in Clarkesville, TN. I joined their Art department, and enrolled in their Graphic Design program.
After a few years of living in the country music Mecca of the world; we both decided it was a great place to visit, but we didn't really want to live there. We both began to search for a new hometown, and decided on Atlanta. I transferred to Georgia State University, and currently am in my final year of classes. I hope to graduate in the spring with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art with a minor in Graphic Design.
