Life Got pets? Kids yes- got started late- chopper no-got to get the kids thru college. After graduation, became an xray tech then became an RN practicing at Baptist and Park West while in Knoxville. Left in 84 to work with Open Hearts in a teaching hospital in SC. The town was too small for single people, and I was recruited to start on the first Hospital Helicopter in SC. It was great, met lots of new people and began teaching as well as flying. Was recruited to teach in an AD program for paramedics in a small college in the middle of SC which I THOUGHT WAS THE END OF THE WORLD- but it wasn't--I grew a lot as a person, expanded my career,I(drove home to TN to do Ski Patrol at Gatlinburg every weekend-thats how boring the town was) Met my husband Tim ( a paramedic)in the late 80's and married the next year. Shortly thereafter, the children started coming and God Blessed us with 4 healthy children. Tim and I moved back to Spartanburg to marry in 1989 since he had been in the EMS system up there for so long, and the hospital wanted me back. Worked as a head nurse in PICU and Neuro ICU until our first was born.
