Life
90s... traveled with most of the bands I listened to in high school, traveled up and down the east coast, moved around a bit, went to Europe often, briefly had a place in Paris. Nearly got married. Caught up on my German, French, and Russian.
00s... traveled to Europe extensively, spent 1 1/2 years seeing the sights all over the Southwest US, lived in Nantucket, MA, and Vero Beach, FL, in addition to New Orleans. Went back to Paris to write a book. Years later, I've got two, but still unpublished (it's harder than you think,) Nearly bought a bar in Prague and never looked back... nearly; learned a bit of Czech and Slovak.
Back in New Orleans as of mid-May, and still settling in... looking for a bloody place to live in post-Katrina NOLA!

et me type it here, for some reason) under a nom de plume that I've used for nearly 20 years, currently designing a few CD covers, working on a commission painting, and networking with galleries and local artists.
I am still the geekiest person you know, looking like I belong in an industrial band, but have an affinity for suits. I still hang out in bars, and catch up on technology and world politics in my spare time. Get me drunk, and English is the last on my list of speakable languages.
Still single, that's what happens when you move around so damn much, most of my exes and friends are back in Europe, NY, or still displaces as per Katrina. So, it feels like it's been an eternity coming back, but it hasn't really been that long.
