Jose, Jr.'s Story
Jose, Jr. "Sonny" Aure Basa is an idiot with a modicum of understanding on the law of physics!
After graduating from Adamson University (BHS) in 1975, he continued college education at the Colegio de San Juan de Letran where he took up Liberal Arts and Commerce (LIA-COM), major in Applied Corporate Management and graduated in 1979. After college, he worked part-time in various customs brokerage firms; his mother's E. B. Aure Brokerage, for one year as a liaison man and as an export customs representative, later at Congressman Dante V. Liban's JCL Masterservice, Inc. for another one year as an import/export customs representative. Bored and disgusted dealing with the corrupt practices at the Bureau of Customs, he tried to look for another job.
With luck on his side, he got employed in 1982 at the Philippine Petrochemical Products, Inc., a pioneering manufacturing company that manufactures and supplies high grade and quality monomer-based virgin raw plastic material resins. were Personnel and Administration Department (as Messenger and Utility Man and later as an Administrative Assistant), Finance Department (as a Collector and later as Junior Collection Assistant), Purchasing Department (as a Purchaser 3) and Treasury Department (as Treasury Assistant and later as the Senior Treasury Assistant), the final position he held until the company closed-down business and eventually his semi-retirement in 2002.
After semi-retirement, he went on to established and managed a family-owned business. Named MarieSon's Baked Delights, they supply "strictly on orders only" baked sweet goodies such as choco-praline, almond yellow and almond butter cakes, brownies, butterscotch bars, banana, cheese and chocolate muffins, and their best Christmas-seller, Food For The Gods. Their customers include PLDT, PNOC-EDC, some mall-based coffee shops. Lack of time to continue the business, in 2013, it closed down.
Presently, Jose, Jr. is now working with the San Luis Real Estate Leasing Company owned by his uncle as a wing man!
