Life
Jose Angel Colon Rivera
I am an American Soldier. Before retiring I want to complete a bachelor degree in resource management. I have always worked in one form or another in a job that requires managing people, resources, or emergencies. The ghost of legal ramifications is always lurking. The more I become familiar with it the better prepared I will be for the future.
As a young man in my teens and until the age of 27 I worked for the Government of Mayaguez, P. R. in the Safety and Sanitation Department. From there I joined the ARMY and the rest is history. Tours in Korea, Germany, Iraq (x3), and all over the United States allowed me to round my informal education. Now is time to round my formal one.
My family and I enjoy the outdoors. My two boys are well on their way ...Expand for more
to become Eagle Scouts. We enjoy hiking, rappelling, survival, exploring, etc. We also enjoy arts, museums, music, martial arts, traveling, etc. My wife happily joins me in whatever hair brained new adventure I come up with. She is always there readily available to tell me if I am doing good or if I need some well deserved scolding.
We have two dogs, both shelties, Kitt (named after Kitt Carson) and Caramel. Kitt is our crazy dog (long story) and Carmel is our shy, calm and passive one.
I will retire in about four years and by then the kids will be gone. Hopefully we will do some more world hopping and travel some more in addition to change careers.
Either way, IÂm always available to help as needed.
