Jose Luis's Story
Most of my friends knew me as Weeblo. Some didn't even know my real name. Ha!
High School was a difficult time for me but playing basketball helped put a smile on my face. I moved around a lot for financial reasons and struggled just to get by. I am grateful to my friends and especially, David Cervantes, and his mom for feeding me before I took the bus home to Los Angeles during my last 2 years at Bell Gardens High School. eless so I didn't get to actually graduate and I started working. I did get my GED from the State of Texas a few months later and returned to Los Angeles soon after. I worked many jobs, went to school at Santa Monica College and transferred to Long Beach State University while majoring in Computer Science. I received an I.T. job while in my senior year of college and have been working ever since. I am currently a software engineer/developer and I love what I do.
