Joseph's Story

Life is good! I retired from DuPont after 39 years in a variety of technical and supervisory positions.In my last assignment I worked in a toxicology lab and I got to use a lot of the things I learned from Mr. Malin, Mr.Obold, "Uncle Pete" Steele, amongst others - Thank You! I still work part-time for New Castle County in the Park permits office and also coordinate 5 softball leagues during the summer. I also ran the County basketball league for several years but had to give it up when I started working in the permit office. I coached CYO sports up at St. Ann's in Wilmington for about 27 years. Coaching everything from touch football bowling. softball and my first love basketball. ng up many of the the things "the Hammer" tried to teach them. Starting in 2001 I helped organize an annual Beef & Beer/Reunion party for WHS alumni. If you look at my pictures you will see a lot of them. It has been fun renewing relationships of old but along the way I have met and made new friends from other classes than my own. After living in Wilmington all my life in 2004 I moved to Middletown. I love it but there are times when I miss the hustle and bustle of the city. Although I am not a big emailer, I would love to hear from any classmates! I am sorry to say we will not be having our annual party this year. However, a gang of WHS alums do lunch up at Catherine Rooney's in Trolley Square about every other month. If interested give me a call at 376-8228 or drop me a line at "irishjch" on aol.
