Joseph's Story
Life
I am now a marine. I spent 13 weeks of real hell at the marine corps recruit depot in sandiego california. It was a complete and total mind game. They make you feel like the most worthless piece of shit on the planet, then by the time you graduate they make you feel like the biggest baddest killer on the planet. I am now a heavy equipment operator: bulldozer, roadgrader, forklifts, cranes, that kida stuff. I spent a year in okinawa japan. While I was there I was deployed to Australia and Korea. As of march 15 2002 i have been stationed with mwsg27 mwss274 cherry point n.c.
I am Married with 2 children.
Military
I went to boot camp at San Diego June 26 2000. I went on boot leave for 10 days, did 2 weeks recruiters assistant. From there I went to camp Pendleton for 2 weeks of Marine C...Expand for more
ombat Training. Next I went to Ft Leonard Wood MO. for Heavy Equipment Operator's school. I was promoted to Private First Class 1 November 00. I was Meritoriosly promoted to Lance Corporal 2 Jan 01. I graduated from there in late January 2001. Late February 2001 I went to Okinawa Japan Camp Foster 3rd TSB H.E. platoon. I went on Tandem Thrust to Australia from April to late June. From October to December I was on KITP at CAMP Mu Juk Korea. I left there Febrary 2002. In early March 2002 I came to Cherry Point North Carolina MWSG-27 MWSS-274 HE platoon. I went to CAX 9-10 from july to september. I was promoted to Corporal 1 November 02. I was deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom from Febrary to late May with MWSS-271. I came back to MWSS-274 in July of 2003. I was promoted to Sergeant 1 March 04.
