After graduating in '99 I went off to NIU to get into their Computer Science program. I knew I wanted to do something with computers but didn't know exactly what. I figured NIU was the place to go since it was close to home and I had some friends going there. I did ok the first year but I didn't feel like they had the right program for me. I signed up for a second year there since I didn't know what else to do and my parents expected me to finish college. Well I ended up bombing my second year there and ended up dropping out. I was working for Sherman Hospital part time in their IT department while attending Northern. I worked the Help Desk on the weekends to help pay the bills. After dropping out I was able to get full time status there. I liked what I was doing but knew I couldn't move up the corporate ladder without some sort of degree. So after taking a few years off from Northern I took some classes at ECC to get some more credits under my belt. After completing some Gen Ed classes I enrolled at Devry University in Addison in their Network Telecommunications Management program. Since I was working full time I had to attend part time taking night classes and online classes.
