Joshua's Story
Life
I am flying FA-18 Hornets in Beaufort South Carolina with VFA-86 and have been in the Navy for over 13 years. I am happily married to my wife Tonya whom is a wonderful mother and my favorite actress. (PLEASE GOOGLE TONYA BORDEAUX or TONYA LARSON or go to Tonyalarson.com or net and feel free to purchase any of her movies, Fitness Videos or Excercise Equipment.) We have two beautiful boys Aero, and Jace whom keep us very busy. They are such an awesome blessing to us and are such a blast. I am getting ready to go back on deployment. I have been flying since August 7 1997 and I am also an FAA Certified Pilot Flight Instructor, Commercial Pilot.
I received my AS & BS of Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and MS of Aeronautical Science "Space Operations". I would like to finish a DR. Degree Program at M.I.T. for Aero. Physics when time permits. My hobbies are being daddy, husband and investing.
I initially came into the Navy as an Enlisted and was a Naval Aircrewman flying on E-6A's in Tinker AFB OKC, OK. I went to San ...Expand for more
Diego after that and taught SERE School, Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape. Then I was picked up to become an officer and did so through Officer Candidate School OCS in Pensacola FL back in 2001. After OCS I went on to API Aviation Preflight Indoctrination, then onto fly T34's at Primary Flight School in Corpus Christi TX, then I moved on to Kingsville TX to fly the T45A. I finished fighter pilot school on November 21 2003 then went on to fly the S-3B Viking for 3.5 years. I have been flying Hornets since May 2007. I should be flying this aircraft for about 4-6 more years or less, then as I screen for command and do my CO,XO (Commanding Officer, Executive Officer) tour I am expecting to transition my squadron to the ongoing delayed F35 Lightning "JSF". I will screen for my Department Head tour around 2010 to 2011. It should then be time for me to apply to be a NASA Astronaut and pursue my ultimate dream.
Remember if you don't think it's the right thing to do then don't do it because it is probably wrong...
