Josie Micallef:  

Life Just to bring you up to speed... After taking 4 years off between high school and university, I finally got my act together and received my Honours Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University. Brock University was my next stop. I attended Brock for one year, after which I received my Bachelor of Education. I graduated at the top of my class and received the Canadian College of Teachers Award in 1997. I was offered a position within the Toronto District School Board 2 days later and the rest is history. I'm now in my tenth year of teaching! My teaching assignments have remained constant over the years. For the most part, I have taught Mathematics, English, History and Geography at the Grade 8 level. Health and Physical Education, my passion, has thankfully been a constant throughout. I've taught kids ranging from Grades 6 through 9. I've also had the good fortune of teaching Grade 8 and 9 Visual Arts. This year however, I've undergone a pretty big change.
