Joy's Story
Life
My oh my... I doubt anyone I know will find me here, but what the heck right? It's midight 30 and I've got nothin' better to do.
When I started school I actually began at 3rd Street Elementary in LA. Then I went to First grade at Good Shepherd Lutheran in Inglewood, the Faith Lutheran in Sacramento- where I had the BIGGEST crush on Steve Hamilton for the majority of my 6yrs there. Then I went to Trinity in Redding, and moved on to HS in Red Bluff. High School was what HS is. I half loved it and never wanted to leave and half wanted to get the hell outta there. Well, I got the latter, and went up to Humboldt State U. While working on my BA, I had a bit of a mental breakdown, entering and exiting the local hospital on and off. I was diagnosed as Bipolar, and moved back to LA aft...Expand for more
er 3 and a 1/2 short yrs at HSU... Only 70 Units into my degree I was done with school.
I began working at a small studio in Hollywood, as a receptionist, and stayed there until the meaninglessness of it drove me close to the edge once more. I met a fabulous guy that helped me find some fabulous therapists, and that started me on a road to stability... Well, I said " started on the road to", I didn't say "took me immediatly to"... and so now I am rooming witht that awesome guy, while taking classes part-time, and working as a TA!!! part time. I absolutely LOVE my job, and it makes my life feel perfect, even though in reality I am dirt poor. See, $$ doesn't = happiness! And after only a small part of this wild ride called life, I've found my peace.
