Joyce's Story
I attended and graduated in 1976 from Wartburg College. Then I taught high school for a couple of years in Little Rock, Iowa. I quit that when I got married and moved to Fairmont, MN where I worked for a bank, law firm, and Fairmont Railway Motors. I had two children and moved to Florida when my husband became a police offficer. We eventually divorced and I was single for many years. nd obtained my Masters' Degree in Public Administration. I remarried in 2009 and have been married 10 years. My husband teaches at Florida A & M University and I worked in the affordable housing area with my most recent position at the City of Tallahassee as the Housing Administrator. I recently retired. I totally enjoy retirement because I no longer have to supervise people or have a schedule. As the commercial says, I am paying myself to do the things I enjoy.
