After graduation in June 1960, I attended Central State University and the University of Dayton on academic scholarships. Following college, I worked for the US Postal Service for nine years as a clerk. During that time I had four children, Chris, Debi, Stevie, and Angi. I resigned from the Postal Service and started working for the Dayton Board of Education in Payroll & Accounting and then worked as the first Business Manager of Dunbar High School. I returned to the Postal Service after nine years at the Board and after six months I transferred to Los Angeles, California and California became our permanent home. We flourished in California!! I was quickly promoted as the Associate Manager in the Business Center and then promoted as an Associate in Human Resources/Personnel. I was then promoted as the Executive Assistant to the Western Area Manager of Marketing in Denver, CO. After five years in Denver I accepted a promotion to Las Vegas as Executive Assistant to the Las Vegas District Manager of Customer Service and Sales. I retired from Las Vegas after five years there.
