Joyce's Story
After leaving Powhattan High School I attended two years at Highland Comunity Junior College. I then finished a third year at University of Emporia Kansas. After college I began working in Nuclear Power Plants starting with Wolf Creek in Kansas, then North Carolina, Florida, Illinois, Texas and back to Florida. My husband and I married in September 1988 had our first born in December of 1989 and moved to California in January 1992, had our second child in 1993 and are still here. out of the house three years now and our baby will be graduating high school in 2012. When our youngest started Kindergarten, I went to work for the School District for six years, my job was playing on the playground with the students and crossing guard after that venture I bought my own book store and have had it now 15 years. Have no idea what the next 15 years will bring but I sure do think of Powhattan, Kansas quite frequently and wonder what all of my classmates are doing. Joyce Ann Darling/Davis
