Joyce's Story
Life
After graduating from UT in 1988, I went on a cross country road trip for the summer then settled back in Austin, where I've been ever since. In 1994, I married a cool musician & UT's History of Rock & Roll instructor, Mike Hagye (even though I never got into his class while in college)! We live in Bee Cave - near The Backyard - and have two adorable children and two kittens. My beloved Jessie, a black lab/bassett mix died in April of 2002 after being my friend for over 14 years. Soon I'll get a golden retriever puppy, but I'm not ready yet.
In 2003, I'll celebrate my 10th year with IBM/Lotus (5 weeks vacation per...Expand for more
year - woo hoo!)! I LOVE my job as a project manager in Lotus Technical Support. Hey, my two year IBM co-op position (which started through Austin High) paid off!!
I still play the flute, and you can hear me play with my flute choir every Easter at the Sunrise Service at Zilker Clubhouse!
My family and I love to snow ski. So far my favorite trip has been to Cortina, Italy (2001), with Grindelwald, Switzerland (2002) a close runner-up.
I run into high school friends occasionally at the gym or in the grocery store. I hope that classmates.com will help me connect with even more folks who may no longer be in Austin.
