Joyce's Story
Hi to all my fellow Trumanites I graduated with the first graduating class"76". ***Big shout out to all of the 76 graduates and to every-one that I walked the halls of Truman High with or just shared a class with. If you stop by my profile, say hello, and I will do the same. So... it has been 32 (+) years since graduation that is a long time. I married in 1977 to a great man who made the Military his career (he is Airforce retired after 24 years). Thank-god!! We have been married for 31 years this past August. We have 3 children, all grown and out on their own, and 5 Grandchildren. Our Son Ron (former Marine) Now a computer specialist is age 30 lives in Memphis, TN with his wife and Daughters, my beautiful grandaughters; Tamia, Taylor and Takara. My oldest Daughter Jennelle (former Navy) a dental hygenist age 29 lives in Richmond, VA, is married with 2 beautiful children Jeron my only grand-son, and my beautiful Grand-daughter Jaden...she is my little Hatian princess! My Youngest Daughter Christi is 26 She lives in Augusta, GA she is single and has no children very busy working on a BS degree in Nursing at Payne College. I have been a Nurse for 22 years now, working on my Masters degree...Expand for more
...I specialize in wound care. I work at one of the largest out patient wound care facilities in North Carolina. My husband owns his own business as an appliance repair technician, and of course I keep his books (that's my second job). I would love to attend a Truman class reunion. I attend my husbands class reunion every 5 years, and I feel like I graduated with him, we always have a lot of fun, but that's the way they do it here in the south. Well, I am living in Fayetteville, NC we have been here for 15 years in a home out in the country that we had built from the ground up. We love keeping our grandchildren and spoilling them. My favorite hobby is scrapbooking. My favorite place to travel to is Paradise island in the Bahamas, we go for two weeks every year. I have a very close family, we get together often, even though we are all in different states. Who would have ever guessed this would be my life story?? I am blessed and I am thank-ful. I would love to reconnect with friends from the past (co-op city sect. 5) Lisa and her sister Beverly, Dana M, Lorraine and her sister Beverly, Shirley, Diane A. and other friends, (all are not Truman grads) but I hope we can reconnect soon.
