Joyce's Story
: I started drawing at an early age. I was inspired by my mother. She was taught to draw in her classes in Germany. I asked her endlessly to draw me and I would copy her drawings. The I would try drawing on my own drawing everything. Even my feet. My major in college was of course, Art. I took commercial art classes but became discouraged when my mom told me I could not make a living doing art. And then life and marriage happened, and I became a pharmacy tech and became involved in...Expand for more
the corporate world for more than 30 years. I did not draw or paint in all that time and I was afraid I had lost it. But I started slowly with some charcoal drawings and found that it was still there and started painting again and have been going strong since 2016. I still use the skills I picked up along the way, I enjoy working with the computer and writing as well. I want to keep learning and growing as an artist and hopefully bring some joy and meaning into someone else’s life.
