The one thing that would surprise my friends is that I did not marry Bob Riggins. That was the plan at the time I graduated but things changed and we ended up marrying someone other than each other! After graduating from North I remained in Wichita for the next 13 years working for 4 different oil companies. My husband and I decided to move to a smaller town because we felt it would be better to raise our family in a small town atmosphere. We never did regret that decision either. At the time we moved we already had 3 children and then had one more child after we moved to Sallisaw, Oklahoma, my husband's hometown. I continued to work full time, primarily 11 years as a office manager/ paralegal for a legal office and 13 years as a legal/clinical services secretary for a long-term care company in their Ft. Smith, Arkansas corporate offices. I retired the last day of 2003, 3 months after my husband passed away. We had been married 43 years.
