Joyce's Story

Life My family is very important to me, and since I'm a stay-at-home mom, it should be. I've chosen to make a career as a home-schooling mother; making training and raising my kids a priority. I know I've done my job well, because I am blessed by the strong, moral young people they have become. My husband and I have been married for 28 years and have been blessed with 7 children (6 terrific sons and 1 lovely daughter). My son, Jason and his wife, Julie, gave me a granddaughter in March 2009. My son, Daniel and his wife, Kristen, are expecting in February. We are definitely growing. As a family, we enjoy playing board games, poker, and watching movies together. The kids are very creative and make their own movies, usually remakes of popular ones; those are really fun. Some of them ventured out into community theater. Of course, they play online games together, as well. I'm a POGO.com member and love the variety of games I get to play. My favorite game is Jungle Gin -- I could play it for hours. That's pretty much my play time. I began homeschool...Expand for more
ing when Jason, my oldest, was in 2nd grade -- he is now 27 and is a manager at TGI Fridays. Two more have since finished and are graduates of Full Sail University. They are currently pursuing jobs in their field. My daughter has also finished and is a Nanny for the cutest little girl. That means 4 down and 3 to go. They are all teens now, therefore, we are getting closer to finishing this journey we've been on for so long. I was very timid and quiet in school; therefore, if anyone remembers me at all, they know that I'm a Christian and Jesus is the one who makes it all happen for me. I've been blessed with a hard-working, faithful husband and very neat kids, who also love the Lord! It's all about Jesus and the fact that He chose ME -- Wow! He truly is an awesome God! In the end, all that really matters is how we lived, and who we lived for! After all, it's what we do here and now that determines where we will spend eternity. It doesn't all end when we die - as a matter of fact, it's just the beginning! Think about it. I'm living for Jesus!!!
